Obtaining Tax Forms 

Business Tax Forms: 

  • Get paper forms at the Downtown Library.
    • Limited quantities; first-come, first-served.
    • Please note that Business Tax Forms will not be available for the 2024 tax season.

Tax Preparation 

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

  • This program will operate during the tax season beginning on February 1 through April 11.
  • Tax-Aide is located at Active Generations, 2300 W 46th St. Sioux Falls, SD.
  • To schedule an appointment, call the Helpline at 0211. Specialists will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP)

  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) offers free tax help to eligible filers based on household income, persons with disabilities, and taxpayers with limited English proficiency.
  • VITA is available for households with a yearly income of less than $64,000 a year.
  • Contact the local ICAP office at (605) 334-2808 for more information. 

IRS Free File

  • The IRS offers a service called Free File, which allows qualified taxpayers to prepare and file federal individual income tax returns online for free.
