Support Your Library
Here are several ways you can help your local library.
Book Donations
We accept popular fiction, new nonfiction, award-winning books, children's books, and local history items. We are unable to accept encyclopedias, textbooks, audiovisual materials (CDs, DVDs, etc.), books in poor condition, and outdated items.
If you are donating five items or fewer, take them to any Siouxland Libraries branch. Give the items to a staff member. We are unable to accept items that are outdated, in poor condition, or do not otherwise meet library needs.
Donations of more than five items are accepted only at the Downtown Library. Please bag or box the items.
Call (605) 367-8700 ahead of time if you are bringing multiple bags or boxes.
More information about book donations at Siouxland Libraries can be found here.
Endowment and Memorial Funds
Individuals or organizations may establish memorial or endowment funds by giving a considerable donation in honor or memory of someone special over an extended period of time. Funds may also be established to meet other operating needs of the library. For more information, call (605) 367-8700.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
A special way to honor friends and loved ones and support the community is to have an item or materials purchased for the library with a monetary donation. Celebrations may include:
- Birthdays
- Birth of a child
- Retirement
- Other special occasions
- Someone's life (Memorial)
To make a donation, print the Gifts & Memorials Form and mail it to Siouxland Libraries. For more information, call (605) 367-8700.
