Library staff are not able to assist with specific tax questions.

1040 Forms and Instruction booklets will be available at all branches in late January.

The library no longer offers business forms, including W-3, W-4, 1096, 1099-NEC, and 1099-MISC, at any library branch. To order physical copies of these forms please visit www.irs.gov/orderforms or file electronically through one of the links below.

Tax Preparation

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide

This program will operate during the tax season beginning on February 2 through April 11.
Tax-Aide is located at Active Generations, 2300 W 46th St. Sioux Falls, SD.
To schedule an appointment, call the Helpline at 2-1-1. Specialists will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP)

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) offers free tax help to eligible filers based on household income, persons with disabilities, and taxpayers with limited English proficiency.
VITA is available for households with a yearly income of less than $67,000 a year.
