We crunched the checkout statistics, and—across all formats—these were the most in-demand titles at Siouxland Libraries in 2025. How many did you read?

1. Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

Book Three in the series that began with Fourth Wing, Onyx Storm continues to follow dragon rider Violet Sorrengail as she fights for her people and her romance with another rider.

2. The Women by Kristin Hannah

This was our #1 checkout in 2024. It's 1965, and Frances "Frankie" McGrath impulsively joins the Vietnam War effort as an Army Nurse. The trauma of her war experience is rivaled only by the cruel reception she's met with after returning home. 

3. The Crash by Freida McFadden

Tegan is eight months pregnant and alone. She desperately wants to put her troubled life behind her, so she hits the road to head for her brother's home. What she doesn’t realize is she’s heading straight into a blizzard, and she won't make it to her destination.

4. Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

5. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

Yes, a third McFadden book in the top ten!  It's another psychological thriller, this one about a couple who have a beautiful, charming stranger rent one of their spare rooms. 

7. Vanished in Vermillion by Lou Raguse

This South Dakota true crime book was our One Book Siouxland pick this year. Two teenagers disappeared in 1971, and for decades a community wondered what could have happened. Theories abounded, but answers would eventually come. 

8. The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose 

In this suspenseful follow-up to The Perfect Marriage,  Sarah Morgan's soon-to-be-ex-husband's mistress goes missing.

9. The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren

The heir of a grocery chain and his free-spirited ex decide to fake their relationship in order to receive a massive inheritance.

10. Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez

The guy is perfect, but the timing is all wrong. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her and their amazing date. Easier said than done!
