Important Update

Text messages from Siouxland Libraries are delivered to recipients via email. Unfortunately, spammers also use this technique to send mass texts. To provide the best service to their customers, major phone providers have announced that they will stop this service as of June 17.

How does this affect notifications?

As of June 17, our system will no longer be able to send text message notifications about holds or overdue items.

What are other notification options?

The best alternative to receive notifications is through email. Postal mail is an option, but there is a significant time delay in receiving notifications with this choice.

How do I update my notification method?

You can call the library during open hours, or follow the How do I switch? instructions below.

When will the library be able to send text message notifications again?

Library staff are looking at alternative communication options. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Remember!

You can check your account information at any time through our catalog or the Siouxland Libraries app.

Thank you

We appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions, please call or send us an email.
