The Humboldt Branch opened in 1971 and was a part of the Minnehaha County Rural Public Library. It moved to its present location on September 11, 1993. In terms of population, Humboldt is the smallest community served by Siouxland Libraries. It has a loyal base of guests who enjoy programs and activities at the library.
