The Brandon Community Library will be open with limited services on Monday, June 8-Wednesday, June 10 due to a planned power outage. Guests may browse, check out materials, and pick up holds. Library programs will be held as scheduled but may be relocated outdoors.
The first Hartford public library was established in 1960 at 105 North Main. In 1984, it moved to the West Central school. In 2019, the Hartford Branch moved to its current location at 119 North Main. In 2023, the City of Hartford purchased the building from the Hartford Senior Center. The city did renovations that more than doubled the size of the library. Children enjoy playing in the outdoor garden area next to the library.
