The Crooks Branch was built in 1984 and was the headquarters for the Minnehaha County Rural Public Library system, which was formed in 1960 and merged with Sioux Falls Public Library in 1994. The building was renovated in 2012. The Crooks Branch is the home of the Siouxland Libraries’ bookmobile.
