Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue

Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023, the outside southbound lane on South Minnesota Avenue will be closed north of West 57th Street.

Drake Construction will be repairing curb, gutter, and sidewalk. The work is expected to be complete by Friday, September 29, 2023.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Closure – Sixth Street and Weber Avenue

Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023, the intersection of East Sixth Street and North Weber Avenue will be closed for street and utility construction.

Weber Avenue traffic will detour to Cliff Avenue via Eighth Street and Third Street. Access to Johnstone Supply will be maintained on Weber Avenue from Eighth Street. Access to LSS, Cherapa and Sioux Area Metro will be maintained on Weber Avenue from fifth Street.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.

Lane Closures – Kiwanis Avenue

Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023, the outside southbound lane, and the center turn lane on South Kiwanis Avenue will be closed, south of West 12th Street. One lane of traffic southbound will be maintained, as well as the two lanes of northbound traffic.

Mears Group will be determining utility line locations. The work is expected to be complete by the end of the day.
