Street Closures on 6th and 85th Streets

Street Closure – Sixth Street

Beginning on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, West Sixth Street will be closed west of Minnesota Avenue. A detour will be in place.

MidAmerican will be working on gas lines.

This work is anticipated to be complete before the evening commute.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 85th Street

Beginning on Monday, September 11, 2023, West 85th Street will be closed between Minnesota Avenue and Western Avenue to allow crews to perform an asphalt mill and overlay.

Motorists should use 69th Street as an alternate route. 

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within three weeks.
