Street Closure – Sixth Street

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, West Sixth Street will be closed west of Minnesota Avenue. Pending repair of a required piece of equipment for this closure – this work may get pushed to begin on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. A detour will be signed.

MidAmerican will be working on gas lines. This work is anticipated to be complete and the street open by the end of the day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Closure – Ninth Street & Duluth Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the intersection at West Ninth Street and North Duluth Avenue will be closed to allow crews to install a traffic circle.

This project is anticipated to be complete late summer.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – 10th Street

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the outside eastbound lane of East 10th Street between Cliff Avenue and Chicago Avenue will be closed to traffic to allow crews to perform sidewalk repairs.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.

Lane Closures – 57th Street

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the outside eastbound lane and a portion of a right turn lane on West 57th Street will be closed east of Rolling Green Avenue.

First Rate Excavate will be working on new utilities. This work is anticipated to be complete in two weeks.

Lane Closure – Ellis Road

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the outside northbound lane on South Ellis Road will be closed at the intersection of 26th Street to allow crews to perform a concrete repair. One northbound lane of traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. Southbound traffic will not be impacted by this work.

All work is anticipated to be complete within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the outside southbound lane on South Ellis Road will be closed south of 22nd Street to allow crews to perform a concrete repair. One southbound lane of traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. Northbound traffic will not be impacted by this work.

One southbound lane of traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. Northbound traffic will not be impacted by this work.

All work is anticipated to be complete within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, South Arizona Drive will be closed between Rolling Green Avenue and 59th Street.

Shoulder Work – Minnesota Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the northbound shoulder of North Minnesota Avenue will be closed between Benson Road and 60th Street North to allow crews to install a new underground power line. Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times, but equipment will be parked along the shoulder.

This work is anticipated to be complete in about two weeks.
