Lane Closure – West 12th Street
Beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023, the outside eastbound lane of West 12th Street will be closed between the Big Sioux River Bridge and Kiwanis Avenue to allow crews to perform sidewalk repairs. Two eastbound lanes will remain open to traffic at all times. Westbound traffic will not be impacted.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Parking Lot Closure – Legacy Park
Beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023, Legacy Park will be closed to vehicle traffic.
The park will remain open via pedestrian/bike access from the bike trail. The restrooms will be closed, but portable restrooms will be provided for bike trail users. Expansion and improvements will be made to the existing parking lot.
Weather permitting, the parking lot will be re-opened in early September.
Lane Closures – East 57th Street
Beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023, the outside lanes on East 57th Street will be closed between South Pennbrook Ave and South Pheasant Lane.
Xcel Energy will be working in the area. The work is expected to be completed in two weeks.

Lane Closure – North Phillips Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023, the parking lane on the east side of North Phillips Avenue, between East Eighth Street and East Sixth Street, will be closed.
Xcel Energy will be working in the area. The work is expected to be complete and parking lanes opened Saturday August 4, 2023.

Lane Closures – North Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 31, 2023, the outside southbound lane on North Minnesota Avenue, between West Third Street and West Eighth Street, will be closed.
Mid-American Energy will be installing new gas mains. The work is expected to take a month.
