Lane Closures – Minnesota Avenue and 26th Street

Beginning on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the outside lanes for both northbound and southbound traffic on South Minnesota Avenue will be closed just prior to West 26th Street intersection. Also, only the outside eastbound lane on West 26th Street, just west of South Minnesota Avenue, will be open for all eastbound traffic.

Anco Underground will be working in the area. The work is expected to be complete, and all lanes open, by July 21, 2023.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Marion Road

Beginning on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, North Marion Road (471st Avenue) will be closed from Minnehaha County Highway 130 (258th Street) south for a half mile to allow construction crews to reconstruct and widen Marion Road. Improvements will include new water main, a storm drainage system, street lighting, and concrete paving.

This work is expected to be complete in late October. Motorists should use I-29 or 470th Avenue as alternate routes.

Street Closure – Bahnson Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, July 6, 2023, South Bahnson Avenue will be closed between East 18th Street and East 20th Street. Cruff Tree Trimming will be removing trees in the area. The work is expected to be complete before the end of the day.

Street Closure – Holbrook Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, July 6, 2023, Holbrook Avenue will be closed from 41st Street to 57th Street to allow crews to be apply a slurry seal to the street. All work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Lane Closure – Benson Road

The work that was originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, will now begin on Monday, July 10, 2023. The westbound left turn lane and the inside eastbound through lane on Benson Road will be closed just east of Cliff Avenue to allow crews to perform a concrete pavement repair. The two westbound through lanes and the outside eastbound through lane on Benson Road will be maintained at all times during construction. Traffic on Cliff Avenue will not be impacted with this work.

All work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.

Lane Closure – Benson Road

The work that was originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, will now begin on Monday, July 10, 2023. The outside westbound lane on Benson Road will be closed near the intersection of Eighth Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. The inside westbound lane on Benson Road will be maintained at all times during construction.

All work is expected to be completed within one week with favorable weather conditions.
