Lane Closure – Solberg Avenue

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, the outside northbound lane on South Solberg Avenue will be closed between 59th Street and 58th Street.

Bluewater Concrete will be working on sidewalk repairs.

This work will be in phases, and is anticipated to be complete in one month.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 24th Street

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, East 24th Street will be closed to allow crews to replace a sanitary sewer manhole at the entrance of Riverdale Park. Park visitors will need to use Cameo Way to access the park.

The park will remain open during construction with traffic control in place.

This work is anticipated to be complete by Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Bike Path Closures

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, portions of the bike path will be closed intermittently to allow crews to apply a seal coat. The contractor will start in zone 1. Once zone 1 is complete they will move to zone 2 then zone 3. There will be flaggers on the main trail at the beginning and end of the work zones. This work is a moving operation and will open as surface is ready.

This work is anticipated to be complete in two weeks.

Street Closure – Seventh Street

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, East 34th Street North will be closed just east of Cliff Avenue.

NISS Excavation will be working on new utilities.

This work is anticipated to be complete by Friday, June 30, 2023.

Lane Closures – Holbrook Avenue and 49th Street

Beginning on Monday morning, June 26, 2023, South Holbrook Avenue from 41st Street to 43rd Street and 49th Street from Marion Road to Essex Drive will be closed. A detour will be in place.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Division will be performing road maintenance work.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be open to traffic by 4:00 p.m. June 27, 2023.

Intersection Work – Menlo Avenue and 26th Street

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, the eastbound lane on West 26th Street will be shifted to the center turn lane to allow crews to replace the concrete valley gutter. Menlo Avenue south of 26th Street will be closed and can be accessed from 27th Street.

This work is anticipated to be complete in one week.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, the outside eastbound lane closure on West 41st Street will be extended from Covell Avenue to Minnesota Avenue to allow crews to make improvements to the ADA accessibility along the corridor. This work will include accessible curb ramps and sidewalks with corresponding driveway restorations and concrete curb and gutter repairs.

This is the last phase of the project to make ADA accessibility improvements along 41st Street between Western Avenue and Minnesota Avenue.

This work is anticipated to be completed by mid-to-late July.

Utility Work – Duluth Avenue between 21st Street and 22nd Street

Beginning on Monday, June 26, 2023, crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer on South Duluth Avenue between 21st Street and 22nd Street. There will be intermittent short term lane restrictions, short term road closures, and driveway access restrictions as the work progresses.

Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within one week.

Intersection Closure – Ninth Street and Prairie Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the intersection of West Ninth Street and Prairie Avenue will be closed to allow crews to perform repairs to the sanitary sewer. There will be intermittent short term lane restrictions and driveway access restrictions near the work area as the work progresses.

Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within one week.

Intersection Closure – 33rd Street and Western Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, The City of Sioux Falls Water Reclamation/Storm Drainage crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer and storm sewer at the intersection of West 33rd Street and Western Avenue. Motorists are encouraged to use 26th Street and Kiwanis Avenue while work is being completed.

Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be completed by the end of the week.
