City of Sioux Falls Suspends Utility Service Disconnections for Residential Accounts During COVID-19
As our community comes together to respond to COVID-19, the City of Sioux Falls is taking steps to help provide customers uninterrupted access to utility services for water and/or electricity. The City is committed to the health and safety of the public and has suspended all utility disconnects due to non-payment of city-owned utilities until further notice. This adjustment applies to residential accounts.
The City also will start waiving utility service late fees for accounts beginning today. We will continue to work with customers now and into the future who may need extended payment options. This adjustment does not waive any current bills, and customers should make any efforts to keep accounts current as they are financially able.
“As part of our commitment to serve the community and deliver reliable services, we are here to support our customers during this challenging time,” said Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works.
For further information on payment options, call the City of Sioux Falls Utility Billing Office at (605) 367-8131.
