The Pfizer-BioNTech primary and bivalent (updated) booster vaccine are available at Falls Community Health to all eligible individuals. To schedule an appointment, call 605-367-8793 or stop by at 521 N. Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD.

Are the COVID-19 vaccines effective?
Yes! Studies have shown that COVID-19 vaccines continue to protect against severe disease, hospitalization, and death in all age groups. Protection is highest among those who are up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination which consists of a primary dose and all recommended booster doses.
Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe?
Yes! Although the COVID-19 vaccines were developed quickly, they were still required to go through the same process as any other approved vaccine. Like all vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine went through three phases of clinical trials which require a vaccine to be tested on hundreds of thousands of people. After the vaccine has been tested, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) determines if a vaccine meets the FDA’s standards to grant Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) or full FDA approval. Even after a vaccine is available to the public, it is highly monitored for safety and effectiveness. In addition, millions of people in the United States have safely received COVID-19 vaccines. Similar to all vaccines and drugs, there are side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine such as headache, fatigue, and soreness at the injection site. Severe side effects are rare and the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine continue to outweigh any potential risks. If you have any concerns, please visit with your provider. 
Should I vaccinate my children?
Yes! Similar to adults, children are still at risk for severe disease and hospitalization. The vaccines are safe and effective for children. Some children experience no side effects and some experience side effects similar to routine vaccines. COVID-19 vaccines are available for everyone 6 months and older at no cost. Do I need the COVID-19 bivalent booster?
Yes! The virus that causes COVID-19 rapidly changes and the bivalent booster allows the body to continue to protect against the new variant. The bivalent booster is recommended for everyone ages 5 years and older if it has been at least 2 months since their last dose. For children 6 months-4 years old, please speak with your provider or pharmacist to see if your child is eligible for the bivalent booster.
