Stories to Go
Stories to Go bags are designed for three-, four-, and five-year-olds and contain everything needed for a storytime. Each bag is based on a theme used by Siouxland Libraries storytellers and includes five books, one DVD, a theme-related puppet or story prop, and an activity sheet. Place a hold to reserve a desired bag at the most convenient branch.
Read 100 Books In Your Class
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten has been adapted to fit daycare classrooms. 100 Books in Your Class encourages all daycare providers to read daily to their classes, ensuring a solid foundation for learning when children reach kindergarten. Get started today! Simply download the poster or pick one up at your neighborhood branch. Every time you read a book to your class, log it on the poster. When you have read 100 books, bring the completed log to a library branch to redeem a prize and private storytime for your classroom.
Tours and Special Storytimes
Bring your daycare or preschool classes to the library for a special tour or storytime. Call the branch of your choice to schedule a visit.
Bookmobile
The bookmobile visits elementary schools and daycares Monday-Friday. It goes to each stop once every three weeks. To arrange a bookmobile visit, call 605-367-6382.
