Armchair Travel to The Poe Museum
Without leaving Sioux Falls, area residents can visit the Richmond, Virginia, museum dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe, author of The Raven and The Fall of the House of Usher. The live video chat will take place Wednesday, October 16, 2019, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Siouxland Libraries Oak View Branch, 3700 East Third Street.
The museum, which is housed in the “Old Stone House” built in the 1740s, holds one of the world’s largest collections of Poe’s original manuscripts, letters, first editions, memorabilia, and personal belongings. It also provides an overview of early 19th century Richmond where the writer lived and worked.
