Night of Stories at Oak View Branch

Siouxland Libraries Oak View Branch, 3700 East Third Street, will present a Night of Stories on Monday, September 30, 2019, from 6–7 p.m. Focusing on the oral traditions of Latino culture, it is free and open to the public.

In observance of Latino Heritage Month (September 15–October 15, 2019), individuals from Spanish-speaking countries will share their coming to Sioux Falls stories, then tell a traditional tale from their home country. A book documenting their Journey Through Memories (Viaje a travès de los recuerdos) will be given to all who attend while supplies last.

Refreshments will be served. The Night of Stories is sponsored in part by REFORMA, an affiliate of the American Library Association that promotes library services to Latinos and the Spanish-speaking.
