How you can help the library

What do Andrew Carnegie, Bill Gates, the Brandon Mom's Club, Raven Industries, Ruth Kennedy Caille and Harriet L.J. Ronning have in common? Among other things*, they believe that Siouxland Libraries is an important community service making a difference in people's lives everyday.

Each has supported the Library with financial contributions and gifts of time and talent. They know that a great Library is an important part of our community and that their support makes a great Library even better.

You can join these people in supporting the library. Consider the following:

*Help from our friends
Andrew Carnegie
- gave the first $30,000 for construction of the Carnegie Free Public Library in Sioux Falls, completed in 1903. (Now the Carnegie Town Hall.)
Bill Gates - The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation donated 8 computers, 4 printers, a server, routers and software to Siouxland Libraries in 2002.
The Brandon Mom's Club - organized fundraising for the new Brandon Community Library which opened in January 2003.
Raven Industries - purchases a new children's book for the library for each baby born to an employee.
Ruth Kennedy Caille - donated funds for the construction of the Caille Branch Library in 1987.
Harriet L.J. Ronning - donated the land for the Ronning Branch Library in 1995.
