Homebound Delivery Service - We make house calls!
What is Homebound Delivery Service?
Homebound Delivery Service is a personalized delivery of library materials directly to people's homes.
Who can use Homebound Delivery?
Any Sioux Falls resident who is unable to come to the library because of advanced age, long-term illness, or physical disability.
What is available?
Large print books, books on tape and CD, music tapes, magazines, DVDs and videos. We can also help you obtain talking book service from the South Dakota State Library.
Is there a charge?
No. Library service is free to anyone with a library card, both those able to come to the library themselves and those who are homebound.
Who picks out the materials?
You and a library staff member. You will be called and a staff member will select materials for you based on your reading and listening tastes.
Can I ask for specific materials?
Certainly. Tell us what you want when you are called. We will let you know if the item is available now, if it has a waiting list, or if we will need to get it from another library.
Who makes the deliveries?
A volunteer from the library will deliver materials to your home as arranged with you.
How often are deliveries made?
Monthly.
