What is Daycare Delivery Service?
Daycare Delivery Service is a program designed to bring library materials to the children in in-home daycares.
Who can use this service?
Any registered in-home daycare serving up to 12 children.
What is available?
Each bin of materials contains picture books, easy readers, board books and videos selected for children ages 7 and under.
Who makes the deliveries?
A volunteer from the library delivers new materials to your home and picks up the materials to return to the library.
How often are the deliveries made?
You will receive a new bin of materials every four weeks.
How do I sign up for the service?
Download an application form or call 367-8706. We add additional daycares to the service as resources and volunteers are available.
Can I volunteer to make the deliveries?
Volunteers are needed. The daycare delivery service volunteers must be able to lift bins of 20-25 books and videos, be a licensed driver and have a vehicle for making the deliveries. Most volunteers commit to making deliveries one afternoon a week for 2-3 hours. If you are interested, contact Monique Christensen at 367-8720.
