Title: Baltic Branch Closed For Renovation

The Baltic Branch of Siouxland Libraries is closed for renovation for approximately three weeks. When the library reopens in mid-December, the interior of the library will have received a complete makeover with new shelving, carpeting, windows, paint, and lighting.

Library customers are encouraged to use other branches of Siouxland Libraries during the project. A complete listing is on the Library website, www.siouxlandlib.org/ContactUs.

The renovation is a joint project between the city of Baltic and Siouxland Libraries. The city of Baltic is responsible for the majority of the project, with Siouxland Libraries contributing new shelving and an expanded library collection of books, movies, and music.

The city of Baltic continues to accept donations toward the purchase of the carpet. People have already donated over half of the carpet cost of $2,800. If you are interested in donating, please contact the city of Baltic at 529-5497 or send your donation to “City of Baltic—Library Carpet Fund” at 130 St. Olaf Street, Baltic, SD 57003.
