Title: Open House at Renovated Baltic Branch Library

The public is invited to an open house at the newly renovated Baltic Branch of Siouxland Libraries. The open house is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 17, 2011. The library is located at 213 St. Olaf Avenue in Baltic.

The library has been closed for the past four weeks during the complete renovation of the interior. New windows, doors, paint, carpet, lighting, and new shelving are among the many changes.

The open house is one of a number of events in Baltic during Santa Days, where children enjoy special activities at the American Legion, including a visit from Santa Claus.

The renovation was a joint project of the city of Baltic, Siouxland Libraries, and Minnehaha County. The library has been in its present location for over 20 years and this is the first renovation. “The transformation of the library is amazing,” Jodi Fick, Siouxland Libraries’ assistant director, shared. “We are extremely pleased with the results. I can’t wait for the Baltic library customers to come in and see their new library.”

The Baltic Branch is one of twelve Siouxland Libraries locations throughout Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County.
