Siouxland Libraries will kick off its free summer reading program for kids, “Be Creative @ Your Library,” with Lloyd and Rosie Cole’s Wacky Chicken Show, a comical variety show featuring music, magic, cowbells, and strutting chickens.

This free 30-minute family program will be held on Wednesday, June 3, at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Caille Branch. On Thursday, June 4, The Wacky Chicken Show will be given at the Ronning Branch at 10:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.; and at the Oak View Branch at 7 p.m. The program will be held on Friday, June 5, at 10:15 a.m. in the Brandon Elementary School carpet gym. Space is limited and groups of ten or more must register in advance to attend by calling 367-8710.

“Be Creative @ Your Library” is a free reading club for preschool through elementary school-aged children. Kids may join this free reading club by picking up a reading log at any library branch. By keeping track of their summer reading, children may earn a variety of prizes.
