The new part of the Main Branch library in downtown Sioux Falls is open after a year of construction.
The new Library entrance is on the west side of the building at 200 North Dakota Avenue. Parking is on the west and north sides of the building. Come enjoy the new facility.
The Library property still looks like a construction zone on the south side. Remodeling continues on the original part of the building. Take a look at the corner at 8th Street and Main Avenue. A new reading room is being added to the southeast corner of the building. The reading room will have a sloped roofline and lots of windows and natural light.
The building project will be completed in Spring 2010. The building will have greatly expanded space and new furnishings.
