The Main Library of Siouxland Libraries, 200 North Dakota Avenue, will be closed from Monday, April 27, through Tuesday, May 12. The book drop will remain open. Items on hold will be available for pick up at the Ronning Branch Library at 3100 East 49th Street. The Main Library will reopen on Wednesday, May 13, at 9 a.m.
Library customers are encouraged to use the Ronning Branch Library at 3100 East 49th Street, the Oak View Branch at 3700 East Third Street, or any of the Siouxland Libraries’ branches in Minnehaha County.
During the two weeks the library is closed, most of the contents of the old building will be moved into the new addition. When the library reopens May 13, the library will again operate in a temporary mode. Some of the collection will be in storage and the seating space will be reduced in size. Construction will resume on May 11 with the renovation of the old building. The public will see new furniture and greatly expanded space at the end of the construction project in the spring of 2010.
