Songwriter and musician Tom Cornwell will kick off the Siouxland Libraries summer reading club for children, Catch the Reading Bug, by performing Bug Songs, a concert of creative and humorous songs about insects.
This 40-minute family program will be held on Wednesday, May 28, at the Oak View Branch at 10:05 a.m. and at the Caille Branch at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. On Thursday, May 29, Bug Songs will be held at the Ronning Branch at 10:05 a.m. and 11 a.m., and at the Garretson Branch at 2 p.m. The program will be held on Friday, May 30, at 10:05 a.m. in the Brandon Elementary School carpet gym and at 1 p.m. at the Crooks Branch. Space is limited and groups of ten or more must register in advance to attend by calling 367-8710.
Catch the Reading Bug is a free reading club for preschool through elementary school-aged children. Kids may join this free reading club by picking up a reading log at any library branch. By keeping track of their summer reading, children may earn a variety of prizes.
