Children who need help with their reading and writing can register for a free tutoring program sponsored by Siouxland Libraries this summer. The tutoring program is designed for children who have completed first through fifth grades. Children can receive up to eight hours of reading instruction with trained reading tutors - one hour per day, twice a week, for four weeks during the summer.
Tutoring will be held at the Oak View Branch on Monday and Thursday mornings, June 2 through June 26, from 10 to 11 a.m., or from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Tutoring at the Ronning Branch will be held on Monday and Wednesday mornings, July 7 through July 30, from 10 to 11 a.m., or from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
Tutoring registration forms are available at the Oak View, Ronning, Caille, and Main Branch Libraries or may be downloaded at www.slkids.org. Space is limited and tutoring sessions will be filled on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Summer Tutoring is funded through a grant from Dollar General.
