In celebration of Read Across America, held in honor of the March 2 birthday of children’s author and illustrator Dr. Seuss, Siouxland Libraries will offer a special storytime for preschoolers.

Our Read Across America storytime will be given on Tuesday, February 27, at the Brandon branch at 10:15 a.m. and at the Garretson branch at 10:30 a.m. The program will be held on Wednesday, February 28, at the Brandon branch at 10:15 a.m. and on Friday, March 2, at the Crooks branch at 1 p.m.

Originally created by the National Education Association as a one-day event to celebrate the importance of reading on March 2, Read Across America has grown into a nationwide initiative promoting the importance of reading every day of the year.
