Siouxland Libraries is offering free summer tutoring for elementary age children who struggle with reading and writing skills.
Our tutoring program is designed for students (public, private, or home-schooled) in and around the Sioux Falls area who are entering 1st - 5th grades in Fall 2017. Participants are paired with trained reading tutors for one hour a day, twice a week, for four weeks.
Tutoring dates are July 10 - August 3, 2017. Choose from one of the following sessions:
Mondays/Wednesdays: 10-11 a.m. or 11 a.m.-12 noon
Ronning Branch (12 noon-1 p.m. session is also available)
Prairie West Library (12 noon-1 p.m. session is also available)
Tuesdays/Thursdays: 10-11 a.m. or 11 a.m.-12 noon
Oak View Branch
Brandon Community Library
Tutoring sessions will also be available for students who attend Garfield, Hayward, Laura B. Anderson, Lowell, Terry Redlin, Harrisburg Freedom, Harrisburg Liberty and Garretson elementary schools, at their respective locations. Only students enrolled in each school are eligible to attend tutoring sessions at that site. To register for those sessions, please contact your school on April 14, 2017.
All sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
