Summer Reading Program Will Build a Better World

Siouxland Libraries’ summer reading program aims to keep children and teens reading over the summer. Those who don’t tend to lose literacy skills, while children who do read during the months school is out actually improve their reading ability.

Area residents in Grades K–12 are invited to take part in the library’s free online summer reading program, Build a Better World. It runs June 5 through August 10, 2017. Those who take part earn prizes for reading (reading suggestions available through Siouxland Libraries’ booklists).

The summer reading program also features fun missions to complete and games on the website. To learn more about Build a Better World and register, go to siouxlandlib.readsquared.com.
